The conference began on Saturday afternoon with a teaching session from 3-5pm. Guest speakers included: Pastor Ben Gomez – COAN Youth Ministries, Pastor Fritz Veillard, Senior Pastor of God Changing Life Ministries in Deerfield Beach, Pastor Bill Valmyr - Fire Institute and COAN Pastor Harold Gutierrez. Following the seminar there was a free dinner under the tent from 5-7pm followed by an evening service in the main sanctuary. Several of the Haitian churches in attendance participated in the service. The service included a combined mass choir, praise dance and drama. COAN Senior Pastor Mark D. Boykin preached a powerful message from the book Acts. The conference concluded with Pastor Fred Louis closing in prayer and opening the altars as many came forward to commit to the call of God upon their lives. Plans are currently underway for next year’s conference.
Pastor Delinor Benoit was quoted as saying,” this was by far my most meaningful mission’s trip back to Haiti. God provided above and beyond everything we prayed for and His spirit was present and ministered every step of the way. God confirmed to me His calling upon my life in the missions' field." God consistently blessed the efforts of this group of committed men of God even before their departure from Florida. In need of as much medicines as possible, the bulk did not arrive until two days prior to departure. The first city they visited was in Leogane. While there, the medical team saw 251 patients and led 21 people to Christ. From the city of Leogane they proceeded to the town of Grand-Goave. While in Grand-Goave, the mission's team was able to examine 196 patients and lead 12 people to Jesus Christ. There were times of discipleship as well as evangelism during their stay in Grand-Goave. The mission’s team concluded their efforts in the capital of Port-au-Prince. While in the capital they treated 250 patients and witnessed 60 salvations. The team not only offered medical treatment, but held worship services that brought joy and comfort to many. In overview, 697 patients were seen, and there were 93 conversions for Christ! In addition, in an amazing display of God’s power and provision, the medical staff was able to leave excess medical supplies for the people of this impoverished island.
