Over thirty people gathered for an early morning breakfast sponsored by Couples In Christ. The breakfast took place at the lovely Cafe Viggiano overlooking the pier in Deerfield Beach.

The group enjoyed beautiful weather, delicious food and great fellowship. The menu included seasonal fruit and muffins and a choice of three sizable entrees with all the trimmings: buttermilk pancakes, make your own omelet or three eggs any style.

Following the meal, those who were able to stay enjoyed a time of worship and prayer on the beach. Couples In Christ would like to thank the Cafe Viggiano for hosting the event. Couples Enjoy Bowling Night! (March 2008)

80 people, including both adults and children, attended the 2nd Annual Bowling Night sponsored by Couples in Christ on Saturday night. The evening featured 2 hours of bowling and a pizza meal.

Everyone who attended had a great time of fellowship and fun. Trophies and prizes were awarded to the couples with the top three scores. Don and Sue Kauts came in first place this year, followed by John and Gloria Jamis and Fernando and Cleidy Lima.

Couples Enjoy Sweetheart Dinner
120 people participated in Couples in Christ’s Sweetheart Dinner on Saturday Night. The evening included a romantic dinner, live music and entertainment, and interactive games. The evening began with punch and appetizers served on silver platters.

The couples that attended then sat at elegant tables beautifully decorated with a dozen red roses and fine china and tableware. Dinner included a delicious menu of beef, chicken, potatoes, rice, and asparagus salad. Two types of dessert were also provided: a strawberry bavarian cream cake and chocolate dipped strawberries.

A very special group of volunteer servers waited on each table during the entire meal, bringing dinner and desert by plate to the group. One of the highlights of the event was the live background music during the meal that featured the romantic sounds of both violin and piano.

The group also enjoyed live entertainment from talented singers and musicians from our church. Other highlights of the evening included a dramatic skit, encouragement from Pr. Marc K., and “The Not So Newlywed Game.” The evening concluded with a competition called “A Declaration of Love.” In this game, a small group of brave husbands publicly proclaimed their undying love to their wives in order to win a dinner for two at the elegant Cucina D’Angelo. Couples in Christ would like to thank all those who helped to make the Sweetheart Dinner such a success.

Night of Celebration (January)
Over 50 people attended the Night of Celebration in January. The evening included a powerful time of worship, prayer, testimonies and encouragement. The night ended with a very special time of communion and intercession for every couple who participated in the event.
